Summary
In Stephen Bernhardt’s article ‘Seeing the text’ Bernhardt attempts to say that presenting ideas visually enhances writing and improves the skills of the writer. Bernhardt argues that if the writer can see visually what they have to do the whole writing process becomes so much easier and you can actually see what you have to do.


Synthesize  
After reading the article I feel like it was similar to the comic book article in the same sense that it deals with pictures to help make things easier to understand and makes the overall writing process easier by laying out what you have to do.

4. I believe that you are supposed to write an essay that follows a specific format because ever since school started it was always the same set up for every paper wither it be in elementary school all the way up to high school.

3. Gestalt is an organized whole that is perceived as more then the sum of its parts. And knowing what it means helps with the article by showing you exactly what you have to do to by using visual things to help frame which direction you want to take with your paper.


My Thoughts
Overall I thought this article was very informative on helping set up what a paper is supposed to be like. It gave helpful tips on how to set up your paper visually which in the long run will make writing a paper easier because you can actually see what your going to be doing.
